The Tourism Authority of Thailand has announced “Nihao Month” to celebrate 50 years of relations with China. The event will feature various activities aimed at boosting tourism and cultural ties between the two countries, with a target of 250,000 arrivals and extensive promotional efforts.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is set to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations with China through a festival named Nihao Month, occurring in late September and early October. This celebration seeks to strengthen tourism cooperation and raise awareness about the cultural festivities in both countries surrounding this significant anniversary.
TAT aims for around 250,000 arrivals from China during Golden Week and anticipates generating 500 million online views through promotions. A highlight includes the “Amazing Thailand, Mid-Autumn Night” event featuring cultural ambassadors, expected to attract even more interest in Thailand as a travel destination.
In October, TAT will host the Sound of Friendship concert at Bangkok’s Siam Paragon and engage in joint promotions with Chinese travel platforms, offering special deals to entice Chinese tourists from September to December.
