With Paris 2024 less than six months away, it’s crunch time for the women’s basketball nations hoping to secure their spot at the Games.
Four FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifier Tournaments (WOQT) that take place from 8-11 February will decide the final 10 quota spots for the women’s Olympic basketball tournament, with the tournaments hosted in Xi’an, People’s Republic of China; Antwerp, Belgium; Belem, Brazil; and Sopron, Hungary.
The 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup winners, the United States, and Paris 2024 hosts France are already assured of their spots in Paris. However, for the other 14 teams involved in the WOQTs, the results of these tournaments will decide whether they punch their ticket to France.
In the groups with France and the USA, the top two teams will obtain Paris quota spots. The top three will secure quotas in the other two groups.
Read on for all the results and tables for the WOQTs.
As National Olympic Committees have the exclusive authority for the representation of their respective countries at the Olympic Games, athletes’ participation at the Paris Games depends on their NOC selecting them to represent their delegation at Paris 2024.
